Join us for a discussion about efforts to re-think and re-shape Chicago. Will also have a sneak peek at AREA Issue #13 “Home Fronts, Housing Struggles”, coming out in early April! Presentations will focus on ongoing research and activism, including:
- Euan Hague “Housing Development and Community Destabilization in Pilsen”
- Rozalinda Borcila and Daniel Carrillo “The New Housing Boom: Immigrant Detention as Secure Housing”
- Communities United Against Evictions and Foreclosures “Housing as a Human Right”
- Day Without Public Art in Pilsen “Puppies out of Pilsen”

The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. Event organized by AREA Chicago with DePaul University Department of Geography, DePaul Geography Students Association, The Indian Institute of Geographical Studies
